Cousin's Wedding

After Bo and I got back from Disney We spent the night at my parents house so that my mom and I could go to my cousins wedding.

As you can see from this picture of my brother it was really really hot this day, and the the reception was held in a beautiful barn that didn't have any air conditioning.

The beautiful wedding was held out side.

I really liked the groom's cake. Family weddings are the best because I get to see many of cousins that I don't seem often.

Disney Hollywood Studios

Okay my parents surprised me by how much they really like Disney Hollywood Studios. I never would have guessed it.

Here are my parents waiting for the Fantasmic.

It rained most of the afternoon, but that didn't stop us from having fun. This is my mom in front of the muppet fountain.
During the rain storm we found a seat under an umbrella and took a nap. Bo sleeping.
My dad and I also took a nap as we waited for the rain to pass.

My mom got to meet Lightning McQueen. He is one of my nephews favorite charaters.

blizzard beach

Bo and I really wanted to go to the water parks this year as part of our Disney Trip. Lets just say this was a bust.
Bo after we waited an hour for the rain to stop. We finally left because there was thunder and lightning all around us.

We did get to send about 30 min in the lazy river which wasn't at all relaxing. There were way to many people in it to be enjoyable.

Bo wasn't happy here because some one pored a cold drink on him from one of the bridges. We were already wet so I didn't understand the big deal. I think it mostly shocked him. I don't know if we will pay to go to the water parks again.

Magic Kingdom

Okay let me start off by saying I have gone to Disney for a long time. So sometimes I don't call it Magic Kingdom I refer to it as Disney World this really gets some people confused. Luckly, not my parents and Bo has just gotten used to it.

So while we were at the Magic Kingdom my mom made a statement, "that it doesn't matter how many parks Disney adds the Magic Kingdom is Disney World." This is so how I feel too.
My mom and I rode It's a Small World Together. I just love the colors that are inside this building. They are so inspiring.

My dad waiting for the Monster's Inc. show. He just had to catch a little cat nap. I think the trip tired him out, but we all had a good time.

We always have to have our picture taken in front of Cinderella's Castle.

Epcot

Epcot has to be one of my favorite parks. I love the side that lends itself to learning, and I really enjoy visiting all of the countries in the World Showcase. I still don't think I have seen all of the countries yet.
One of my favorite items is the jumping water fountains. They have been there since the park was built, but they are still fun to play with. Just see if you can catch one of them.

My parents and Bo enjoying the Mexican boat ride. This had to be the worse ride for a person in a wheelchair. They were not at all prepared for a wheelchair. It was really disappointing not to experience Disney service.
One of all of our favorite rides, Living with the Land. This ride was much more prepared for a wheelchair.

Animal Kingdom

First off let me say that Bo and I go to Disney World pretty often, but that this trip was different in several ways:
1. Bo went for a conference
2. My parents went along
3. We have never been in June before
4. We went to a water park.
5. My parents have never been to Animal Kingdom or Disney Hollywood Studios
But a fun time was had by all

First Day: Animal Kingdom

If I had to give anyone any advise about Animal Kingdom it would be to go see the Birds of Prey show and the Lion King Show. My two favorites in this park.
This is a picture from the Bird Show.

My dad ridding his scooter. He couldn't have made it around the parks without it. I called him zippy because he would zip ahead of us and wait under a tree until the rest of us caught up with him.

I never get tired of seeing this sign. I have to let you know that I had a grandmother who loved Disney World. The first time my mother visited with her family was in 1973, and they drove down to FLA from PA. So that just tells you how serious Gram took Disney World. So lets just say I get it honestly.

Getting Back in the Grove

We have been gone from the house for 10 days. So lets just say I'm way behind. We went to Disney World with my parents and Bo had a conference to attend. Then on the way back from Disney I stopped by my parents house to see my aunts who came into town for my cousins wedding. Then it was off to Bo's parent's house for Father's Day with his family and then finally home. So it has been a busy 10 days and now we are tired and under several piles of laundry. So I hope to post pictures of our trip tomorrow.

Surprise

Let me start off by saying I love Avon Jewelry, and that my Avon lady works with Bo. Well, a couple of books ago I saw this watch and LOVED it, but I didn't want to spend my fun money on it. Needless to say I got a nice surprise last night when I got home, Bo had purchased the watch for me and gave it to me as a surprise. I was thrilled!!

Off Day

Yesterday was Jefferson Davis' Birthday and my office had off work. I don't understand why, but a Monday off is a Monday off. I just go with it.
I would love to say that I sewed a lot, but I didn't. I did iron a bunch of clothes, take a nap, watch some TV, go to the grocery store, and get Bo some new socks. A lot of little things filled my day off and before I knew it it was over. So I guess I should at least say Happy Birthday Jefferson Davis! Thanks for the day off.

Spicy VIP

Last night I got to be a Spicy VIP which really meant that I had signed up to try the new Spicy Chick-fil-a sandwich. Since I love everything about Chick-fil-a I'm all about a free sandwich. I could eat Chick-Fil-a several times a week so a free sandwich is always good.

I got my Spicy Chick-Fil-A sandwich with pepper jack cheese on it, but after one bite I knew I needed to cool down my sandwich. So I got a pack of Ranch dipping sauce. By the end this didn't help. I really couldn't taste anything by last bite. I had instant heart burn and a few hours later I was still feeling the heat of the sandwich. So if you so hot and spicy food try this sandwich I think you will love it. Like all of Chick-fil-A's sandwiches it was a real piece of chicken and cooked to perfection. Just a little to hot for my taste and I like spicy foods.

I know what some of you are thinking - what did Bo think of this sandwich? Well, Bo didn't sign up for a free sandwich, but he did have a bite of mine. At first he didn't think it was so bad until he got the after kick. Then he thought it was pretty hot.

I would ask Chick-Fil-A one thing please bring back the Chicken Q.

I was in no way compensated for this post except for a free sandwich everyone was able to get.

Wipeout

For some crazy reason I love this TV show. It makes me laugh so hard. I know I shouldn't laugh but I just have to. Bo and I watched the special Wipeout Blind Date episode last night which I think was even better than regular Wipeout. I just wonder how many of these contestants are hurt while playing this game? Do any of you watch Wipeout?

Cross Stich

I had a great Memorial Day Weekend. We had a good deal of rain, but it was needed.
I did start working on a cross stitch pattern. I wanted something that I could get done pretty quickly. I think if I work on this every night I could have it done by the weekend. Don't worry I have more cross stitch kits to work on after this one.
