Pants and Ornaments

Okay, I have been sewing some, but mostly at night I've been going home after work and sleeping. I guess it is the cold weather we have been having. It's not suppose to be this cold in Alabama in October. I did manage to make Bo a pair of golfing knickers. The only problem is I cut out the wrong size, and they don't fit at all! I guess, I'll try again next year. My brother has agreed to try them on and model them for a picture, but only if I get him a pair of socks to go with them. We'll see if he actually models them.

I also made these Christmas ornaments. Spray on adhesive is my new favorite tool. These ornaments have one problem they seem to shed glitter everywhere.

I'm off to spend the weekend with my family and to go to one of my favorite fall traditions - The National Peanut Festival and Fair.

The Great Pumkin - Charlie Brown

Tonight was Trunk or Treat at our church. As you can tell by this picture I didn't do much to our truck, but I did wear my tried and true costume- the great pumpkin. My mother made me this costume in either 2000/2001 and every time that I wear it everyone loves it! The most unusual place I have worn it was to hospital to visit a friend who had her baby on Halloween. There have been years when I wanted to be something new, but I love being a pumpkin. Thanks Mom for making me such a great costume!

Saturday Happenings

I have been productive today. I finished 5 pairs of pants for Nephew, and cut out Bo's Halloween costume. I hope to have it finished by Friday. Wish me luck!
And this is what my sewing room looks like today. Thanks to Bo and his father. Next up is paint.

Sewing Room Disaster

Yes, this is what my sewing room looks like after months of remodeling. Everything that didn't have a place ended up in my sewing room along with all of my sewing supplies. Now, it is time to redo this room. I know that my mother-in-law will cringe when she sees this picture, but she will love it when it is completed.
I found several projects that I had forgotten about. I am really really excited about working on this room. I'll show you the finished product as soon as possible.

Parents Visit

Today was my Dad's appointment with his ALS specialist. This meant that my parents had to come threw my town. I decided to ride along with them. It was a good afternoon for the three of us, but as we already knew my dad's ALS is progressing. We are lucky because his disease is moving slowly.

When we returned from the doctor my mom and I wanted to visit AC Moore which is having a going out of business sale. As you can see below I enjoyed shopping. My mom and I were in AC Moore for over an hour. Bo meet us there after work, and then it was off to dinner. I had one busy day.

Almost Finished Pirate Costume

I know that this isn't a really good picture and this isn't completely finished costume, but this is what I have so far.
