Bo and I went to Hawaii on our Honeymoon. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but he wanted to go so badly that we went. Bo had actually had never been on plane until that point. It seemed like such a long trip to take for your first plane ride, but he loved it. Well while we were there we visited the two fabric stores on our island. These are the 16 fabric fat quarters I came back with. I still have no idea what I want to do with them, but I'm sure I'll think of something soon. I actually forgot about them until I cleaned out my sewing closet. I actually have several yards of another fabric that I also got in Hawaii. Maybe I should make a quilt? Do you have any ideas?

Angel Sleeves
I smocked this dress on the way to my Grandmaw's funeral. She died in Alabama, but was buried in Pennsylvania. I think that it helped me deal with pain and grief of her sudden death. It kept me buzy while I rode that 1,000 miles. My brother and I drove one car and my mother, dad, and Maw rode in the other car.

Thankful Thursday
I can't believe it is Thursday again. I've been working on Lizzie's graduation dress and there isn't much progress to show you. French hand sewing takes forever to see anything that matters. Lizzie and I are going to go the store tomorrow and work on designing the top of the dress.
Well, since it is Thursday I will let you know what I'm thankful for today. Sometimes it is hard to pick what I'm thankful for. Because I have so many thing that could fill this post with.
Today, I will feature CVS and its Extra Care program.
Since finding this program and how to use it to my advantage I have had so much fun with it. Thanks bargain blogs, I couldn't have done it with out you. Every Sunday when I come home from shopping Bo tries to guess how much I spent. He is always way high and it makes me feel good that I got so much a such a little price. CVS helps us stretch our dollar. What I love most about there program is that I don't have to fill anything out and its not a mail in rebate. I hate mail in rebates, and with CVS it is instant. Not only do I stockpile some of the items, but I have also give some of the items as gifts to my family. In January when my aunt came to visit I had a box of stuff from CVS for her. She loved it and thought it was so funny. She laughed at the fact that I gave her hair color and wrinkle reducer. My aunt and I have a special relationship and I could definitely get away with giving her these items.
So this Thursday I'm Thankful that CVS has a program to helps me stretch my dollar, gives my family a good laugh, and allows me to help others.
So what are you thankful for this Thursday?

Microwave Meatloaf
I'm a good cook, my mother-in-law is a good cook, but when I try to make her recipes I'm not a good cook.
Shortly after Bo and I got married my mother-in-law gave me a binder full of family recipes. Sometimes Bo will look threw it and picks out different items he would like me to make. This week he pick microwave meatloaf. Apparently, I did several things wrong because not only was it burnt it was also extremely salty. I plan to try this again soon. I'll post another picture when it turns out right.

Thankful Thursday
This weeks thing I'm thankful for is easy. Yesterday, while we were getting ready for work our doorbell rang. This is never a good sign in the morning. It was my neighbor coming over to tell me that she had notice water in front of her driveway and it was coming from our yard. The first stop to fix the water problem was calling the city to see if the leak was there problem since it was so close to the road, of course not. They did cut our water off at the street until we got it fixed. At 5:20 last night the plumber finally got there and by 7:15 we had running water. I can't tell you how many times I went to wash my hands, or rinse out a bowl. Running water is definitely something I'm thankful for this Thursday. It is definitely a convenience I would hate to live without.

Just My Luck
Tonight, I was in a hurry to go to sewing class, which is always a bad thing. I pulled into the parking lot and realized that I had driven 20 min for nothing! Because I had forgotten half the project I was working on. I guess there is always next week.
Now, I'm going to go read a book and enjoy my evening.

In Like a Lion Out Like a Lamb
This morning Bo and I woke up to snow falling. It isn't often that we get snow in Alabama, but today it snowed until around 2:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. It was gone as soon as the sun came out. The wind was blowing hard and it made it feel much colder, but don't worry it will be in the 70's by Saturday. Here are a few of the pictures I took this morning on my way to pick up the paper.
