Tools of the Trade

I love it when I'm making a project and I need all the tools I can think of to finish an outfit.  If you can't tell by this picture I had to add snaps to Boo's Easter Outfit.

Procrastination

Worked on this of mending instead of finishing Boo's Easter Outfit.  Only buttons and snaps are left to finish it, and.I'm done.  I promise I'll get it done today or tomorrow

Measure Once Cut Twice

I made some new curtains for the dinning room, but I apparently didn't measure correctly.  The one was about 8 inches longer than the other one.  This has been corrected and they look great.
I have had this fabric around the house for years and just decided it was time for it to go. It was either make something or sell it.  I have a little more left I'll see if I can use it somewhere else or else it will be in the next yard sale.
Have you ever miss measured when sewing?

Train Outfit

Boo is really into trains right now.  So I had to make him a train shirt.

 The train applique came from Planet Applique. 

Lucky for me my aunt gave Boo this shirt for Christmas and I had fabric that matched it perfect.

Boo is standing kind of awkward but it is the best picture I have of the entire outfit.  

Trying to take a picture of a 2 year old is like herding cats.

Dog Pants

I made Boo a simple pair of pants the other day and he enjoyed them so much.  I made them from a costume pattern (Simplicity 3650)  because I only wanted them to have an inside seam. I really liked this fabric because my grandparents had a Dachshund  when I was little and it reminded me of them.

 Boo liked these pants because the gave him plenty of room to run.

I'm having second thoughts about making something that needs a white shirt for a two year old boy.  I can already see many washing with lots of Resolve in its future. 

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I decided that our house needed a touch of green this St. Patrick's Day.
