Crock pot whole fryer

A Year of Slow Cooking has a lot of wonderful recipes and I tried one the other night. I have to tell you that this smelled wonderful, but the taste was little to lemony for Bo and I.

It was the most moist chicken you could have ever eaten. It was fell apart when I removed it from the crock pot.
This is one of the only creative things I have done this week.

Finally a model

I finally have a model to wear the clothes that I made.

This first one was made for my nephew several years ago, but he couldn't wear it when I finished it. So Baby Bo is now wearing it.
This is Baby Bo's gown that he came home from the hospital in. It fits him much better now.
This is Baby Bo's Easter outfit. He just looked adorable, but he hated getting his picture taken.

What a month.

There have been very little sleeping at our house over the last month.

There has been some crying, but we are all getting use to each other.
I hope that we are getting into a routine and I can post more regularly. I actually have some ideas of things I want to sew for the Little One.

New Addition

Sorry, I haven't had much time to post lately. Actually time seems to move very quickly right now. Ever since my little boy came into the world. I hope to get back to regular postings, but I don't know when that will be. Until then this is a picture of my new bundle of joy.

Possible Nesting?

So I think I may be nesting. Except instead of wanting to clean I want to sew. But not like normal sewing. I want to finish all of these old projects that I have had on my list for a while now or ones that I don't need to get done until later in the year. It is a weird feeling to be driven to get something done for no other reason than your body is telling you to do it. Bo on the other hand has our house looking spotless. I'm guessing the baby is coming soon.

Cars Cape

A few years a go I made my nephew a cape from a pattern I found online, but I couldn't tell which site I got it from now. Somewhere along the way he lost it. Since I had a day off this week I decided to make him another one. This time I had all the supplies at my house.
The reverse side. Just plain black.

The front was done in a Cars remnant I had purchased with no particular thing in mind to make with it.
Since I have a little boy on the way and I had a little bit of fabric left I made another cape. It is not as wide as the one for my nephew but I think it will work. I had to take 1.5 inches off the width of the cape but it turned out just as cute and I like that they will have one a like.
Maybe my sister in law can send me a picture of this one in action.
