 Boo is fascinated by my sewing machine, and always wants to help.

Big Project

Boo has outgrown his crib and we got a single size bed to put in his room.  But we weren't ready to change the theme/re-paint his room so I had to figure out a way to incorporate new bedding with the old theme without breaking the bank.  Pottery Barn was out of the question, and pirates were a little older than I wanted him to have so my sewing skills came into play. 

 I think Boo likes his quilt. He was so happy when I put it on his bed.  He actually "helped" me make it.

 First time to lay on it.  The bobber block that he is touching is made with minky dot fabric - oh so soft.

I'm glad Boo LOVES it so much but I don't think I'll be making another one anytime in the future.

First Day Of School

 You would hope that this picture was taken on the way home because he had so much fun at school - NO, it was taken when we got to school.  I think he was a little excited and stressed the night before so he couldn't sleep.  Day 2 went much better.

He did wake up in time to go to class.  He wasn't really sure about it, but I think we will get there.

Making a Mess

Sometimes you just have to make a mess to find that one toy you just have to have. Luckily, he found his Gordon train before he searched for it in other parts of the house.

Last Few Days of Summer

Getting a lot of fun in the last few days of Summer - playing, swimming and watching movies.  

Homemade Salsa

We really haven't done much of anything in a while, but I did have time to make homemade salsa with peppers I grew in the garden. 

I should add it is really really HOT salsa.
