Busy Holiday Weekend

Happy Memorial Day! I took advantage of my 3 day weekend. Bo and I worked around the house and went shopping today. I got a treadmill which isn't put together yet. Bo hopes to finish putting it together tomorrow. I can't wait.
Kandi graduated this weekend. She seemed very pleased with her dress. I'm glad I made her dress, but I don't know if would ever want to make another one next year.

Now, that Kandi's dress is finished I can start working on some projects that are half finished.

Kandi's Dress Almost

I'm still working on Kandi's dress. I have just a few more finishing touches and then I think it will be finished. This picture was taken from her mother's camera phone on Monday. Graduation is on the 24Th.

Tucks and More Tucks

I have a few more tucks to do on Kandi's (Lizzie has requested this name) dress for the most part I'm finished.

I have been cleaning and painting so I have been away from my sewing machine. I really do miss my sewing mojo that I had last year. This year I just feel tired and overwhelmed.

Lizzie's Dress Again

Sorry, it has been so long. I got my computer back and apparently there wasn't anything wrong with it. You know it's like when you take your car to the mechanic and there is nothing wrong with it. Same kind of frustration.
I do have pictures of Lizzie in her dress. Well at least the bottom of the dress. I hope to have the top done in the next two weeks. Then one more fitting and we will be done. I have devoted so much time to this dress, but I think that it is turning out prettier than I imagined.

Bottom Band

This is fourteen hours worth of work! Next, I'll attach this to the skirt and then it's time to start working on the top of the dress. (I placed a red tablecloth under it so you could see it better.)

Graduation Dress Update

I worked on Lizzie's graduation dress last night, but I didn't have time to take pictures. I will post some tonight.

Pintucks

Okay - It doesn't look like much, but it took me an hour and a half to make 4 strips of 11 rows of pintucks. Hopefully it will start looking like a dress soon.

Rows of Lace

Before I got sick I sewed three rows of lace each is 60 inches long. This lace is going to be used in a high school graduation dress for my friend Lindy's daughter. Next week I hope to start on working on rows of pintucks. I'm hoping to have this finished by my May deadline.
